I’m still working on decorating my home. I’m trying to set up my Christmas decorations thoughtfully and incorporate Jake’s preferences and requests. As a result, it’s definitely taking my longer and I’m adding sparkle and flair in stages. It’s been really helpful to consult some inspiration images as I make my decisions. If you are still adding decorations, I hope these pictures are helpful for you too! Or just enjoy the prettiness!
I’m definitely feeling myself drawn to a more rustic, light, and airy feeling. Lots of natural greens, burlap, and whites. This first image is a little more modern than my house, but it’s adorable.
I’ve seen a few images of boards like this one. I think it would be such a fun project and you could do the reindeer in silver or gold!
This house is pretty much what my dreams are made of. The fireplace, the chair, the mirror, the books. Sigh.
How beautiful is this little wreath? It reminds me of Kate Winslet’s cottage in the movie The Holiday. Isn’t it such a beautiful little touch? It goes perfectly with snow.
This table is so sparkly and festive. It would be beautiful for the holidays, but would also work great for New Years. I think it’s a nice mix of gold and silver. I’m always trying to recreate this combination, but I never seem to do it right.
I’m dying to make this little garland. I think it could also be used for several holidays and work on windows, buffets, doorways, etc. Plus it adds such fun sparkle! If Sherry and Katie do a holiday pinterest challenge, I’m making this baby.
How fun is this idea for a big table. If you could find a bunch of these stockings at the Dollar Store, it would be pretty reasonable too. Or you could just do it at the heads of the tables maybe.
The molding, the garland, and this staircase kill me. The garland is so simple, yet makes such a statement. Clearly, I have a theme going here. Simplicity is the name of the game this year.
This picture is so darn pretty. I just love these little wreaths and think it is so simple, yet so beautiful and festive. I’m thinking you could even do just one little wreath over a small window. Maybe I’ll give it a try over my kitchen sink.
And then you know, something really reasonable and attainable. Just because.
Happy holidays to you all and best of luck with your decorating!
